Search Engine Optimization Overview
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the science of search as
it relates to marketing on the web. It is mostly technical

written form capable of maintaining desired revenue goals
while achieving high rankings in the organic sections of
search engine results pages.
Search engine optimization is the process of improving a web
site in order to achieve higher search engine placement. SEO
is not a complicated process, it involves mostly common
sense.

search engine submission, but an intricate blend of over a
hundred variables into the fabric of a website. It is

Search Engine Optimization [SEO] Process & Steps
Web Technology Expert customizes each SEO campaign to
meet your specific needs. However, the following basic
processes are used for each of our SEO clients. We have
found that these steps are essential to making your website
successful in the near and long-term.

Step 1:
We prepare Site Analysis that shows us the condition
of the website at the beginning of the work. It is
reviewed with the client's marketing team and
usually their webmaster.
Step 2:
We set up a conference call. We will determine the
site's specific goals and target markets and
success- measurement technique & tools.
Step 3:
Using a variety of techniques and Internet-based
tools. We research, analyze, and determine the most
relevant and targeted keyword and keyword phrases
for the business or organization.
Step 4:
The client reviews the list and selects those that
are most appropriate and approves the targeted
keywords for inclusion in the SEO program.
Step 5:
We will go through the site and determine which web
pages need copy changes in order to better target
the approved keywords. Search Engines LOVE copy
[written content] on the pages people see - we
prepare suggested copy and submit it to you for
approval and implementation.
Step 6:
We create Meta tags, Title tags and ALT tags that
target your keywords. This is done on an individual
page basis depending upon the page content. Not
repeated from homepage tags. We also interlink your
web page with proper content.
Step 7:
We test the site to see if all applications are
working correctly. We test the site from 'outside
sources' to ensure the changes are visible from
other entry points to the site. We also test in how
much depth your entire link visible to the search
engine. Also check for dead link if any there.
Step 8:
We generate sitemap XML for Google MAP so your
website easily index all pages in Google.
Step 9:
Once site is approved, we will begin the process of
manually submitting your website to the search
engines and directories. We will monitor closely the
inclusion of the site pages into each search engine
index.
Step 10:
We will be able to begin tracking positive results
almost immediately. Some of the search engines and
directories take approximately 5-10 weeks after the
site submissions to become listed and ranked.
Step 11:
If necessary, we will perform a short-term
modification to the site's content to improve

Ongoing Monthly Service:

The ongoing monthly
search engine marketing services are unique and
tailored to each client's needs. We include the
following. But not limited to them:
1. Tracking and analysis of web traffic
reports, provided we have access to necessary log
information from the client's server.
2. Tracking and analysis of the client's
rankings in the major search engines, based on the
targeted keywords. Preparing meaningful reports
showing activity and throughput and conversion.
3. Ongoing keyword research. Some keywords
lose their popularity due to seasonal changes,
market issues or world events. Continual keyword
research will ensure that your site is always
targeting the optimal keywords for your business.
4. Copywriting revisions based on any new
